The Prison Outreach Ministry is a member of the Missions Team of Global Harvest Church which has its primary goal in reaching out to those who are behind bars in Nigerian Correctional Centers and also their immediate families.

The Ministry seeks to reduce recidivism and develop support systems for individuals returning to their communities following incarceration. We educate these communities by building vital relationships and we also match individuals with volunteer mentors from faith communities and civic organizations. Our mentors provide practical assistance, guidance, and compassionate service through close collaboration with the Prison Fellowship of Nigeria.

Our drive is to reach out to prisoners, preaching and ministering to them the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and on the other hand, sharing the love of God by caring in deed for these inmates with food, clothing, medical care and quality shelter.

This is what the Lord Jesus said,

“…I was Hungry and you gave me food,
I was Thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was a Stranger and you welcomed me,
I was Naked and you clothed me,
I was Sick and you visited me,

…Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”
